Search results ranking

Hi fellow hosts, I have a mystery (at least it is a mystery to me) that I need some help with please. I am a superhost with great reviews, I have updated some things in the apartment, changed my description, added amenities, taken and uploaded new pictures all to no avail. I am currently very low in search results and have tried all of the above and more to improve my ranking and still haven't moved. I have been in the exact same position in search for over six months HELP! There are many properties above me with no superhost, no reviews, higher price etc. So if anyone has any ideas that I haven't already tried or any insight into why I am ranked so low it would be appreciated if you could share them here. I have called Airbnb about it but they just tell me to do everything I already tried so surprise, surprise that does not help me. Thank you for any insights. Mary M

@Mary-And-Kelly0 the main reason is because you don't have instant booking enabled.

Here you can see what else may impact rating:

@Branka-and-Silvia0 I do use instant book and have since I began hosting!

@Mary-And-Kelly0 well, it doesn't show as instant book for me. I am loged in, inserted dates but I can't instant book.

Do you have some special booking requirements? Maybe your IB is was accidently turned off?

@Branka-and-Silvia0 Well now I have another mystery. I know my IB is turned on because I just got a reservation that was instant booked this morning. So again I don't get it!

@Mary-And-Kelly0, maybe @Branka-and-Silvia0 can't do an Instant Book because you have some additional requirements for Instant Book-ability?

Note: I cannot Instant Book either.

I believe that there are issues with AirBnb searching algorithm. My listing has been on the first page all the time on the available dates. Recently it falls to the second page. When I do a simple search with a Concord, CA and a period selected, what I see on the first page are messed up. Only the first and third listings are in Concord. The second one is in another city 15 miles away. The forth one is in another city 25 miles away. Several other ones on the first page are not in Concord, CA either.
