Sporadic notifications for reservation requests

I am having trouble with receiving notifications from Airbnb regarding reservation requests. In the past, we were booking our room super regularly and both the iphone app and e-mail notifications worked great. As soon as we got a reservation request, I'd get a push message on my phone letting me know the guests name, dates, etc. I'd also get two e-mails: one was the reservation request which I could accept or decline, and the other would be the personal message from the guest where they might briefly introduce themselves or provide a bit more info about their stay. This was consistent for every reservation request we got, and it made it really easy to respond in a timely fashion.

 

Recently, the notifications have not been as consistent. Sometimes I get a push notification right away, or sometimes I just get a reminder a few hours later. I always get a request e-mail, but rarely get the second e-mail from the guest (even if they did send a message- I just check my Airbnb inbox and usually find one there). 

 

Long story short, we recently missed a 7 day reservation request because it never came through to my phone. The request expired because we did not respond to it.

 

The Airbnb app is up to date on my phone. My e-mail address is correctly registered with Airbnb, and messages are not going into my spam folder. I've been a host for nearly 3 years and haven't had these troubles until recently.

 

Any ideas?

@Andrew66 Yep, many hosts have been reporting similar problems.  I receive the text, push and email notifications on my phone and when I get one of the three, I immediately go to my laptop to communicate / respond to the guest.  That's the only way I can see the full picture of what is going on.  If all your settings are correct in your app, I can't say what's going on.

Hi there,

Yes ,lately I have had the same issue:not getting a notificication of a booking or a a request on my phone,which I have then discovered by change when logged on to the page on the computer.

I have checked my phone number that it is correct,updated airbnb app on my phone and made sure the internet on my phone works also and it does.

I also cannot afford to miss this important piece of information so perhaps it is a good time for someone to find out what is going on with the Airbnb App since this seems to be  regular occurence!And I do not necessarily want to start receiving notifications on my phone about receiving emails as the app itself has worked well,except on these few occasions lately.
