Try to contact Airbnb through the help page and see if they can manually do that for you. What kind of error did your guest make from the reservation? You should be able to alter the booking so that there aren't any repercussions (this can only be done through PC, not the mobile app).
Sarah, sorry to hear of that. Yep, cancelling a booking is one of Airbnb´s greatest sins! Always have the guest cancel (if it must be cancelled) or as @Julia53 says, simply go to your reservation and press the change button to make any modification.
@Sarah97 When you contact Airbnb as @Marcus0 and @Julia53 suggest, remind them that their help article says that hosts are allowed 1 penalty free cancellation each 6 months. Here's the article where it says that:
