Tax refund

Currently I am a non-residence in LA with J1 visa. But I did not receive any form like 1042-s for tax reporting. So what should I do? Looking forward to your reply, and thanks so much for your help.

@Yichen0 I'm not familiar with that form.  Is it something Airbnb sends out?  You can always go to Your Transactions, then 2015 Earnings Summary to get the amount you need to report for income tax purposes.  It has Airbnb's address and tax ID so it should be what you need.

May I ask about how you dealt with it?

And is it ok for J1 to host on Airbnb noting that they live in the place on a lease that allows subleasing and just looking to share the place for short terms?
