The Co-Host function

For days I've had an owner trying to add me as a co-host.  AirBnB claims they are aware of the glitch and working on fixing it but it's still not fixed! Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hi @Stacy37  I hope you are well!

Yes, I have the same issue- I have a few clients trying in vain to add me as a co-host to their listings and it isn't working, very frustrating!

Paul 🙂

By any chance did you fill in the “team” section on your account? That is the only thing new on my account that I can think of but customer service says it can’t be removed.

@Stacy37  no I haven't yet. Airbnb have constant glitches in the system, covering all aspects of the platform- hopefully they get it fixed soon 🙂

Nice to know I'm not alone

@Stacy37 @Paul1255  I am having the same issue. This is such a mess!

Is this the same error message you've been getting: "That email address didn’t work. Try checking it or entering a different one."  ??

Yes! I have just spent over 2 hours on the phone with them.  They said the technicians believe that the "pro hosting flag" makes it so you can't accept co-host invitations.  After 2 hours trying to remove the flag they say it will take another 24 hours before it will work.  I'd bet money it won't work in 24 hours.  I've been troubleshooting this for a week and still no fix.  It keeps me up at night!

Thank you for this update, @Fearless0! I'm going to turn off my profesional tools right now in case that really does the trick.

Exactly @Alece0 ! Airbnb CS told one of my new hosts to get me to change the email address on my account and then for them to add that instead...tried it and didn't work 🙂

Actually, "Fearless" is me Stacy since I created another account to accept the invite in the meantime 🙂

I need it on my account though to centralize my alerts and take advantage of my superhost status!

ha! got it! 🙂

10 days in and still no resolution

I've disabled my professional tools and everything, but still no dice!

One of my hosts has been in live chat with airbnb CS, they apparently spoke to a product specialist who says "the profile you're trying to add can't be a co-host"

....yes we know that, but we need to understand why they can't be added and then have someone fix the issue so they can be added 🙂

I now have to log into the accounts of my hosts directly to manage their listings as they can't add me as a co-host- it's a logistical nightmare!!!

Here is the latest and most UNACCEBTABLE response:

Airbnb Support 10:53 AM Dear Stacy, hi, may name is Jessica, a case manager with Airbnb. I hope all is well. I have reviewed all the information from the previous communications and all the trouble shooting done on our side as well as what you state you have done. I really do apologize that the issue is persisting, and i definitely understand how frustrating it is. But unfortunately at this time, this account won't be able to be added as a co-host. If you wish to be a co-host you would need to have an alternate account, due to the pro-host team as well as the account already show's as being an additional host. I really do apologize that you and I are unable to remove the pro-host team., but all the troubleshooting options available to us have been exhausted. If you would like more information on the pro-host team you can visit our help articles below. https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/2514 https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/2513. Best Wishes, Jessica.
