Time for a Spring / Autumn clean! Do you have a yearly clear out?

Hey there everyone,

It’s that time of the year when in some parts of the world, the seasons are beginning to change and this symbolises a good opportunity to have a good old clean out, spruce up, or complete reorganisation.

Here in the UK, many people are starting to think about their Spring clean. Unfortunately for me, those thoughts haven't translated into action just yet.

What about you, do you use this time of year to cleanse your home? Or do you tend to do this throughout the year?

My neibhors are retired and their garden is absolutely astonishing. I'll see if I can grab a snap this evening, as the suns out, with Charlie the Yorkie Terrier giving me the run around!

With the dog and cat (and husband) to contend with, the hoover is on constantly in my house. Ha ha, even without the full list, you are far more thourough than I!

@Stephanie - Ha!!  But 1) I don't do it, the housekeeper does, and 2) I got rid of the husband!  :):):)

Yes, it's the personal stuff that gets sidelined the most. I also feel like my garden, which I used to enjoy pottering around most weekends, is getting neglected. The sun was shining and no guests checking in today so I was determined to get some gardening done. After only a few minutes though the sky darkened it started hailing, I mean really pelting down ice, so that put a stop to that. Back to the laundry and cleaning. Sigh.

We have had some nice weather, but unfortunately on days where I have had to focus on work or jobs inside the house. Right now the sun is shining but it's quite chilly. After that, it's going to get colder apparently.

I'm actually thinking about working in the evenings so that I can free up some time during the day to get out in the garden when the weather warms up.

We had a much needed downpour of rain in Auckland yesterday to help keep our trees and gardens growing.

This image is taken at taken at Judges Bay, Parnell, Auckland overlooking the Metrosidoris/ Pohutukawa trees along Tamaki Drive, that were planted in the 1930's depression era, and the harbour/ Rangitoto Island before we had the rain...

Note the Norfolk Pine tree in the middle and tree and other reflections in the water.

I meet a lovely lady who uses Airbnb usually ( Sarah ?) who was out jogging from near Buxford, an hour from Manchester, where they have the Thermal pools.

I hope she enjoyed her run in the rain if she was still out in the elements!!

We were in the swimming pool and spa pool when the heavens opened.

I've been away on a few work trips, which is why I've been so absent for the CC.

This past week I was in Belgrade, it turns out, we got some unusually Summery weather over Easter, so my whole garden has fried! I am trying to undo as much of the damage as I can, but there are the mountains of laundry and crazy amounts of cleaning to cope with first. It's amazing how quickly things can go to pot when you leave guests to their own devices for a few days!

Glad you had a trip away, and hope you had some relax time for @Huma

Save that shower and laundry water in a bucket water and sprinkle it on the garden and it will bloom in no time...maybe educate the longer term guests to fill the bucket to and do there bit for the planet+!

Sunny and outdoor pools swimming weather here again today, had fabulous weather with William yesterday for Anzac Day at Auckland Museum, and I got a smile back after giving silly school girl wave to him!!
