Just joined. Had 4 enquiries, 2 bookings. The 2 I didn't convert I was unable to respond to their initial request. It is very frustrating not being able to respond to an enquiry and as there is a 24 hour time frame it makes you look ineffiecient. Also the loss of potential business is frustrating.
I cannot accept or decline the offer and nor can I respond to emails. There is no message received on dashboard.
It's been over a week and I have not been able to message anyone who e-mails me. When I click on "repond now", I get a blank page which looks like my inbox when that isn't working (which is common). Thank goodness Airbnb has tech support - HA!
To the post about responding within 24 hours, what's worse is not being able to discuss the reservation with a prospective renter for more than 24 hours. Then the computer tallies you as not accepting the reservation - a strike against you. This is insane. People are spending money and time and Airbnb demands that they decide within 24 hours where they should spend their vacation dollars. I'm sure they think it's a nudge but it is rude and unfair to those wanting to help those that inquire.
I am able to respond to the prospective guest's email; but I get no response when trying to access the Accept/Decline button. Nor does the request appear in my Messages
This happened to me. I tried for several hours to respond, but just got the "pink circle" as if the page couldn't load. This morning the lady who had enquired had cancelled.
This was my first visitor! So frustrating!
I was unable to respond to an enquiry. erreor mesaaage says:There was a problem delivering your message to express@airbnb.com.
I tried twice. thisis going to reflect badly on my reponse record.
