Victoria Police are recommending hosts turn off Instant Book

Hey folks - stumbled across an interesting article...

Victoria Police (as in the capital city of the Canadian province of British Columbia) have released a statement recommending all Airbnb hosts to turn off Instant Book.  Their official statement is here: http://vicpd.ca/node/2175

Apparently they found a prostitution ring using Airbnb's, so they've released a statement about it.

I wonder if Airbnb pay attention to these things... I might tweet them.

@Ben551   Wow, the police department of the capital of British Columbia is now warning about all the dangers of the very things that Airbnb has been trying to promote and push us into accepting.  IB, no verifications, self-check-in, faceless property management cos, they pretty much warned against all of it. Thanks for posting this. Yes, do tweet them with a copy of this. I hope it gets big air time.
