Why didn’t I earn Superhost status July 1st?

I started hosting in March 2018 & I met all the requirements for July 1st assessment.  Unclear as to why I’m not marked as a Superhost.  If I’m misunderstanding something please let me know.  At the end of June I have 5 star overall, 100% response, 0 cancellations, 17 trips hosted and 88% trips reviewed.

@Ginny30Although the Superhost review period begins July 1, it doesn't end until around the 14th. You won't get notification that you've received it until around then. I think typically, I get my notice around the 8th of the month.

Ginny.....be patient, be patient!

The reason notifications are delayed until 14 days after the assessment period ends is because there are stays that take place in the last week of the assessment period, and there is a 14 day grace period for reviews for those stays to be received and posted.

If you had someone stay in that last week you would want that stay to be taken into account in that period and that is exactly what happens.

 

Ginny, if you have met the required criteria you will be 'rewarded'....but you won't find out until the 14th July....ok!

 

On another level Ginny, dont place too much importance on this badge, sure it is an award your guests have given to you but, don't expect that the world will bow down at your feet....don't relax on what you do, maintain your standards and realise that, just as it came, it can be taken away! Just concentrate on being that great host that you are.....you don't need a badge for that!

Thanks Robin!  As new hosts, we get excited about our achievements.  You’re right...I know my guests think I’m a great host and that’s what matters most, badge or no badge! Thank you for your input.

Oh @Ginny30 heads up; when you get Superhost and that big shield is added to your icon, it will be covering half your face, so best consider changing your icon. 🙂
