breakfast hamper regulations uk

Hi

I am thinking of offering a breakfast hamper as an option (we run children's holidays in yurts as our business) and I wondered if anyone had any advice re regulations on giving pre packed food, such as milk, pastries etc) I understand the law regarding making food and selling it, but not very clear on the pre packed side of it. I am in england. Thank you!

Hi @Andrea1035

Get intouch with your local council food hygene dept, they may want to see your fridges and get you to record temp each day, ours are really pleased that you care enough to get intouch.

Thank you. We are self catering accommodation so this would be an 'extra'

Do you have a seperate fridge for the business? I do have two fridges but wasn't sure if I would need an industrial.

Its ok to use a houshold fridge and your own stuff can be in it as well, Like I say give them a call, they will pop round and explain everything & leave loads of info, you even get a sticker for the window. you might even expand into (making) cakes and pie's although these require an additional sink for hand washing.
