co hosting

Hi there,

I have been asked to co -host somebodys property.   To List ,take photos, be in communication with the clients etc.

firstly the owner wanted to see the listing before I listed?  impossible as there is nothing to be seen cause its not listed.( unless she came to my computer to preview- which was not possible...)

so had to list - tell her to check/preview and see if she wanted to make any changes etc..

also noted on the listing it calls it my property ?  when it is not I have listed it for someone else?

so how can i change that?  or alter in some way...

I have tried to go direct to airbnb but cannot?  please help

In order for it to be called their property they would have to set up everything and then add you as a co host with the ability to operate the listing. There is an option for you to be the primary contact once it is set up.

What I have done in the past for a couple of people who wanted me to cohost but are basically computer illiterate is to set up their airbnb account for them and then invite myself as a cohost. That's the best way I've found to work that arrangement but it requires quite a bit of communication with the person as you have to have them confirm their email address, phone number, etc. Then they can use the login info to preview the listing before you publish. Hope that helps!

I had the same issue and ended up creating the listing as the primary host and added the owner of the property as the co host so they can still have access to see whats going on. From everything I have read there isnt a problem doing it that way but does anyone else know?
