guest cancellation

I have a guest that cancelled a reservation due to an emergency. I am ok with her cancelling and refuding all of her money. However, I had a "strict" cancellation policy and Airbnb only refunded her half of her payment. (I tried to change my cancellation policy before she cancelled, but that didn't work.)

 

Long story short... how do I get Airbnb to send her the other half of the payment that they sent me? OR If I just mail her a check, will I be taxed on the amount they sent me?

 

I really just want Airbnb to send her the money, not me.

@Allison9 You will need to go through the Resolution Center to refund the other half of the cost of the reservation.  Here's the link;

If you are going to be refunding guests, you might reconsider your Strict cancellation policy to save you the hassle of going through the Resolution Center.
