i had to cancel due to emergency

II have a person that I pay to come in and flip rooms and welcome guests if i am at work( i work 25 hours a week )  He had a suden family illness and was not available for a 9 days while he delt with his issue.  During that time I had an issue with one guest that could not check in as desired and I tried to find some one to cover but was unable to. airbnb trirf to call me  while at work but I am not able to answer while working and when i called right after getting off they had canceled on my behalf.  that i understand but now i see the extenuating circumatanses and wondering is it to late and would this qualify???  it is not my emerengcy.   i did not let the guest know i had the issue because i feel it look unprofessional

You did not make it clear whether that guest that couldn't check in was on the first day of your check-in guys 9 day abscence and that you did not know that he was not going to be there to check in the guest? Otherwise, I think finding someone to check in guests has to be your number one priority,  even if your regular check in person couldn't make it, you should have found someone else to do the check-in... If you live in a larger city, there are many professional airbnb sitter services that can look after your apartment for you while you are busy.... (for example bnbsitter.com is great)
