scam

I recieved an email saying that a payout has been sent to my bank account from a reservation that I never had any contact with and doesn't arrive for another month. I thought payment only happened after arrival. Thinking this might be a scam. The email came from express@airbnb.com

Thanks as always

Hi @Michael8,

I would contact safety@airbnb.com.  I would be cautious but would also be surprised if this is a scam as express@airbnb.com does seem like a legitimate Airbnb email address.

@Michael8 Can you provide more context for this email?  Was the reservation a long term stay?  If the email ends with @airbnb.com it usually is legitimate, but as you said the content is weird.  In the meantime, be sure not to click on any links or respond to the email until you know for sure that it is indeed from Airbnb.   So please provide more info, or, contact Airbnb to confirm the email's legitimacy.
