suitcase on the bedspread

I have an ottoman for the guests to put their suitcase on, but I noticed this guest has her suitcase on top of the bedspread.  Would a note on the dresser be appropriate for the next guest?

@Vivian4, sounds fine. You might also mention in your House Rules folder (the one you have - or I hope will have 😉 - in the room) that an ottoman has been provided specifically for suitcases in order to  prevent damage to the bedspread. 

Or leave a note on the ottoman or the dresser for guests to see when they arrive.

How would you feel about addressing the current guest pleasantly and asking her to use the ottoman for its intended purpose?
