4 months Stay

4 months Stay

I have a question regarding an inquiry for a long-term stay in my apartment.
After the first month of the reservation how am I guaranteed that I will get paid?
I mean how can we be sure that the visitor will have sufficient amount of money in their credit card so the payment can go through?

Long term stays are payed in monthly installments.

Airbnb will collect the first installment when reservation is confirmed.

But if Airbnb does not receive a subsequent installment, they have no option to force the guest to pay.

They will sent you a message: No payment received and will advise to contact the guest or opt for a (free) cancel of the reservation.

There is no quarantee for payment. A reservation is no renting contract.

The short answer (as @Emiel1 states) is you don't have any guarantee you will get paid for subsequent months.

Lots of pitfalls and scams with monthly stays on Airbnb and Airbnb does not provide rental agreements, background checks or security deposits. Other platforms are more suited for monthly stays and do provide those protections for Hosts.

Below is a Guide to Monthly Stays on Airbnb that outlines issues and cautions for Hosts:

Pour vous prémunir,la personne peut réserver les 4 mois par périodes de 28 jours.

Inconvénient elle devra payer tout à la réservation.

2ème solution

Elle réserve 2 périodes de 28 jours, moins cher et vous bloquez dans le calendrier les dates dont elle a besoin. À la fin de la 1ère période, elle renouvelle.

To protect yourself, the person can book the 4 months in 28-day periods.

The drawback is that they will have to pay everything upfront.

Second option:

They book two 28-day periods, which is less expensive, and you block the dates they need in the calendar. At the end of the first period, they renew.
