Hi All,
We are farily new to hosting and so far so good.
We had a guest who asked to add a night.... it is available but I am not sure how to do this and I dont want to mess with payments and billings unless I am sure.
The stay is not until August. Is there a way that we adjust on our end or should the guests cancel and rebook to include the extra night?
Any help is appreciated! Stephanie
Hi @Dennis1174
Extending a stay on Airbnb is pretty straightforward, but both guest and host need to approve the change through the platform.
You can guide your guest to
The host will receive it and either accept or decline.
Or send a Change Request yourself
1. Go to Reservations
2. Select the guest’s booking
3. Tap “Change reservation”
4. Adjust the dates (add the extra night)
5. Send it to the guest
The guest must approve it before it’s confirmed. Let them know once you process it so they can tap accept.
Airbnb will automatically update the booking and payment
Thanks so much! I sent the change request and it worked. I appreciate your quick reply.
Finding the Reservation/ change tab took the longest! Just had to keep scrolling but got there.

Hi @Dennis1174,
Congratulations on starting your hosting journey! Is this your first booking or have you already hosted a few lovely guests?
Patricia kindly explained how you could approach this, let us know which of the two options you think works best for you and if you have any more questions. 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie

Hi Emilie,
Sending the change request myself was easiest and as a host, I wanted to provide this service after the guest reached out to inquire.
