Airbnb won't accept my phone number

I just signed up for Airbnb but when it asks to verify my phone number I get the message "sorry something went wrong" or "this phone number is not supported."  I've had this phone number since 2003 (cell phone) and my carrier is Xfinity Mobile which it should be supported.  I can't call the support line because it won't take my call unless I have a phone number on file, which it won't accept.

Anyone else have this problem?

That is hilarious to recommend VRBO as the alternative for incompetence in software development.  LOL.

Happened to me as well. I downloaded the app to my phone and used that instead and everything worked fine.

Thank you Elmuttaqi0!!  I literally spent all afternoon (maybe 5 hours) getting my listing for my rental just right, then it wouldn't let me post because it didn't like my phone number! Wasted about 40 minutes trying to fix it. Then saw  the post above, logged into the app, and it said "press here to launch" and I was done in two seconds!

Crazy how the app confirms my number to write this review but wouldn’t to confirm a reservation. So, I did what some responses suggested. Went to VRBO got in and done in 4-5 minutes same location and price. WTF?
