Bookings in Chicago

Bookings in Chicago

I have been a host for 8 years on Chicago's north side near Wrigley Field. My bookings for Q4 2023 were almost non existent and so far in the new year the same. Is anyone else experiencing this.

Thank you for your feedback.

Lots of cities and resorts are suffering from over saturated markets coupled with falling demand because of the recession @Anthony1658

Have you looked at supply and demand for your sort of listing in your location?

I would say in your case you also have some very low ratings and comments about cleanliness and the accommodation not being large enough for the numbers advertised that are likely to be putting some guests off. And of course lower ranked listing don't appear at the top of Airbnb's rankings.

You also don't seem that you have responded to these reviews to help address concerns for future guests.

It's probably worth looking at where you are getting lower reviews and how you can address concerns around cleanliness, there only being three bedrooms but having a listing that sleeps twelve, issues with the toilet etc.

Hey @Anthony1658, there has been lots of chat about it being a slow season, it inspired me to write a post about it here.

Here's thread where Hosts share ideas on how to increase bookings 💡

There are many Hosts facing similar experiences, you are not alone in this. Best of luck and I hope things pick up soon! 🤞🏽
