Hello, I am a new host and I have asked to have only experienced guests stay at our place. The guest request I received this morning is from a guest with one review. When I clicked on the host (who gave the review) there is no information (an empty page). Could this be a fraudulent review?

@Lindy76 I suspect the host has just stopped using Airbnb. I don't see how a guest could create a review fraudulently.

That makes sense. Thanks for your reply.
@Lindy76 It's short-sighted and not nice to ask that only "experienced" guests stay at your place. Everybody needs a first chance, and there are many lovely potential guests out there who are using AirBnB for the first time. You should feel free asking any number of questions to make you feel comfortable hosting a first-time user, but to exclude them unconditionally is just wrong.
You should also keep in mind that "experienced" guests are the ones familiar with all the tips and tricks for making false claims about the accommodations and getting refunds. Sometimes reviews don't catch up with those folks, because they know how to play the game, and end up making a claim after the host has left a review. There is a lot of nuance to AirBnB's review sytem, and good reviews don't always mean good guests. You're better off asking questions and trusting your gut.
If you're an AiBnB user, surely YOU had a first time renting when you had no reviews. Food for thought. Kia
