We were promised a refund if this renter found other people to rent their bnb. She told us she did find someone and never refunded our money. I have the entire conversation still on what's app. We had an issue with the property because it was extremely dusty near and around the air bnb and I have asthma. We asked if we could get a refund and she said if she rented it to someone else she would refund us. She told us her husband had asthma She then. let us know that it was rented and would give us our money back but never would reply to our text messages. She kept. saying she was busy. Sorry but over 5200 dollars is a lot of money especially when we would have stayed if not promised she would give us money back. We told her if she couldn't rent it we would just stay and I would get a good mask to wear. We haven't received any money. so she basically got paid for the property twice, when we would have just stayed if we couldn't get a refund. We trusted her word and were not given the opportunity to even write a review. Although we have contacted a few Costa Rican sites on FB and instagram to tell our story about this person and how we were treated but still want the chance to tell the airbnb customers the same. Is there anyone we can talk to about this bad experience. We are out over 5000 dollars because she lied to us.
