Guest asked to stay another night, but couldn't book on Airbnb, then left the next day without paying.

I had a guest who asked if she could spend another night. She said she had trouble booking on airbnb for an extra night and would  I be ok with her paying me cash. I said sure. Of course she left and did not pay me. Has this happened to any of you?

Hi @Judy895

So sorry to hear about this.

I've clarified your post title and moved it to our "Welcome guests" board for more visibility.  Hopefully one of our lovely hosts will soon be along to discuss this with you, and provide some advice.

@Judy895 this can't happen to us. If a guest hasn't paid they either don't get it or get shown the door.

i call airbnb and have them reach out when a guest says they can’t seem to book or have them venmo me, immediately.

@Judy895   The guest should pay you the minute they ask to stay for the extra night.  You can send a Resolution Center request for the extra night fee.  If they do not pay online right away, get the cash or show them the door.

I have a few guest recently wanting to book extra days either the day before or the day after, It depends on your minimum night stays, If like me I had it set to 3 night so it was not letting the guest book, I would go back to my PC adjust it to let them book and everything was fine.

@Judy895  why don't you just bill her now through the resolution centre?
