Guest checked in but stayed less than an hour per 24 hours and never slept in?

It is the second time in a month that I have guests that are paying full price for a 2 bedrooms private house in Los Angeles.

The first lady reserved for 3 nights, checked in but stayed about 20 minutes per 24 hours. She never slept in nor used the bathroom or kitchen. I thought it was very weird.

Now , I have a man alone who booked the entire house ( I specified that due to Covid 19, only registered guests are allowed on the premises before his confirmation). His reservation started 6 days ago ( total 12 nights) , he never slept here and stayed less than 1 hour per 24 hours. But he shows up every day . For instance, yesterday he litterally stayed inside 2 minutes . I have a smart lock so I can see the opening and closing of the main lock on an app.

This behavior is very weird and I was wondering if anyone was ever confronted to this. I am scared abour illegal activities but we no proof. Should I report the guest and if yes for what?

Actually, this is making the cleaning much easier and quicker and as long as nothing is missing in the house , that is ok for me as long as my liability cannot be engaged.

Thank you for your answers.

Kindly,

Caroline

Very cute listing in Venice, @Caroline1688 .  Does seem odd to have 2 such situations in a month but I would chalk it up to the current pandemic situation in that people are using this platform differently than before.  When you book a guest, do you ask what brings them to the area to get a sense of how you might add value if needed to the experience?  I would be curious myself.  I am near Palm Springs (your Joshua Tree listing is also fabulous!) and right now not able to book my shared home listing due to covid 19 regulations, but those who are active are reporting record booking in the middle of summer that saw 125 degrees temps this week!  They just want to get out of being at home.
