Guest review - how to respond?

Hello,

 

I have followed the instructions to respond to a review:

 

To respond to a review:

 

  1. Go to Edit Profile on airbnb.com
  2. Click Reviews
  3. Select Reviews About You
  4. Find the review you’d like to respond to and click Leave a Response

 

When I do this I can see no Leave a Response button to click!

 

What should I do?

This is how I leave a response to a guests review:

 

- Go to ‘Inbox’ message area.

- Click on message section for the guest you’d like to leave a public response for.

- Click on ‘details’ (Top right)

- Click on ‘read review’

- Look to the right of where it says ‘public review’ and you will see ‘reply’

- Click ‘reply’ and write your response to their review in the message box.

 

FYI: I do this through the Airbnb phone app.

@Harvey6, Are you on a computer, tablet or phone app? For some reason I can only leave review responses on my computer-my tablet and phone app do not have the option. Hope that helps.

I read the review from your last guest-just a word of advice-the audience for your response is a future guest, not defense of retaliation to this guest. You want to come off as a gracious host so say something like "I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Living on a boat is not for everyone." Most people know that reviews are subjective however your response tells what kind of host you are to deal with. Don't make it long or you will draw attention to the complaint. Hopefully you will get lots of positive reviews and this one will not be a big deal.

Thank you. I have tried on my laptop and phone and can't find the respond button. Perhaps I'll try other devices.

Thanks I'll use my laptop. I wonder why there is no leave a response on mobile? After all mobile is what most people use.

Open conversation notes of customer in airbnb

 

At the top you will see Details noted in red. Click it. It will then open the details of the guests booking.

 

Where you see Show Review, click it

 

The next page that opens you will see Public Review. Next to this you will see Reply.

 

Click it.

 

You will then see the option to reply on your guests Review About You (Public comment you making on a guest review about you)

On my iPad after a review I have a "report" button not sure if this is the same as a "Leave a Response" button

I've searched and searched and cannot find out how to leave a review for my recent guests.  They left a nice review and I'd like to reply to them.  Does Airbnb still allow us to respond to guest reviews?  Or has that changed, too?

I cannot find it either. I used to be able to reply to reviews, but now I cannot find how to do it. Airbnb interface has cryptic sections. This was is plainly absent.

Log on via google chrome/Firefox.

 

Go to profile.

Click 'Manage listing'

Click on a recent review from a guest in the notifications part (I.e. john has left you a review!)

 

In the bottom right there is a place to click that says 'leave response'

 

The ability to leave a response is limited in time.

 

Just say thankyou. Welcome back. If its a bad review just suggest it was a failure for both of you to communicate.

 

I've got one guy who: left a puddle of urine in the bathroom, was up at 4am cooking sausages, made racist remarks, his room was filthy with stench, and half way through I went in and vacuumed, mopped, made the bed, hung up his clothes.

 

He was GROSS.

 

He invited a guest around after the guest cut off time. So I kicked them out. Abruptly. 

 

He left a bad review, but I didn't respond. I didn't even leave him a review.

 

It isn't worth it.

 

The urine was pretty bad.
