Guests booking cancelled for my safety by airbnb, now they’ve made new account and rebooked

Hi! I’m hoping someone could help me on this situation. For backstory on why I’m confused and stressing is I have had 3 accounts make a booking for 25 March to 4 April, all of which have been cancelled and their accounts are deleted which is just strange. Anyway, next I got another booking for 25th March to 4th April, which was cancelled by Airbnb as the booking does not “ doesn’t follow our Terms of Service”. Airbnb stated on the phone they cancelled this due to safety concerns for me. This guest also messaged me after booking saying “how can I check in?thank you” .  So as the dates are now free I got another booking, for 26th March to 5th April, which are slightly different dates. Anyways, this new person who booked sent me a message “how can I check in?thank you” which is the exact same message as previous booking. 

I have called airbnb, expressing my concerns but they have said the identity has been verified and not to worry. Am I just being paranoid and everything will be fine? They’re the same person, yes they have different names but it’s all too much of a coincidence. I want to cancel, I don’t want to have the 10 days blocked or pay fees for cancelling this? I’ve asked them to send this for investigation to the team who cancelled the last booking but the reservation is in 2 days and  just stressed! Sorry this was long and I hope it makes sense,  what would you do in this situation?

Hey Joelle, thanks for your reply! It has been all sorted after calling Airbnb again and they have cancelled it for me, I did have instant booking on so have now turned it off 😊

Yes I can imagine how stressed you must be feeling🤗 Out of curiosity I went onto your listing and I can see that the second set of dates you mention are NOT booked! Yeah!  

 

Did you receive an information enquiry, request to book or are you on Instant Book? To stop this person from booking again, you can flag them and block them in Messages by using the three dots or the flag symbol if you are not comfortable with this guest.

Let us know if they actually booked or if Airbnb withdrew again this reservation.
