Has anyone had a guest sneak in a pet?

I'm pretty sure my guest have snuck a dog into my airbnb. I have outside cameras and they instant booked,

and after I read their reviews that they have a history of sneaking in a dog. I watched the camera and sure

enough when they got our of their car they had a tote with a lid and brought it in, left for an hour and then came back

an unpacked their car with their suitcases. I LOVE animals. But I have a very low cleaning fee, and market my

place as organic and PET FREE, so that people with allergies can stay there without worry. If they did sneak a dog

in I'm going to have to do a deep clean and I'm booked the rest of the week. Anyone else have this issue? I'm finding

that my younger guests are really not following house rules, leaving the place dirty, and in general not good guests.

Maybe I'm just crazy but when I stay at an airbnb I'm super cautious to follow rules, and I clean it better than I found it.

I would NEVER break such an important rule. Any advice would be appreciated. In this case because they snuck a dog

in I didn't even collect  a pet fee.

@Dorathea0 All the time!  As we know, AIRBNB provides a list places to your request for specific needs that includes places that do not meet your requested needs. As a guest, you must look closely at your search results to ensure that the response to your inquiry is what you asked for.  This is one reason why.
People are also looking to save the minimal pet fee for places that have one. I turned one guest right around in the driveway who didn’t tell me he was  bringing a dog, let alone a very large dog.  Also just received a $50 extra cleaning through resolution from a guest who didn’t not respond to my question if they were bringing a dog, then brought a dog and then said their dog was scratching and maybe we had bugs. FFS.
And this Thursday I have a lone guest coming for a night. Profile photo has a dog in it. I’m putting money on it that he shows up with the the dog despite clear information as to why I don’t allow dogs here for our mental health. Sigh.

@Dorathea0   To be honest, as soon as you read the reviews you were then aware that this guest was highly likely to sneak a dog in.  Personally, I would have messaged the guest straight away reminding them that you do not allow pets and politely asking them (due to their previous reviews)  to confirm that on this occasion they would NOT be bringing their dog.  If they said  that they were not, and then did, it would be a clear violation of house rules.  If they said yes, you could either request a pet fee or ask them to cancel their booking.  Moving forward, I would try to get evidence, if not during their stay then certainly after and take photographs in order to request additional cleaning fees.  I would certainly be leaving the appropriate review as well.  To ignore the situation will simply enable these guests to continue with this self entitled behaviour
