Help with Airbnb Support

Hi! I love the Airbnb community. I've had over 100 stays as a guest, plus 100+ stays as a host. I'm so very thankful Airbnb allows me to open my home to strangers from all over the world! I offer a bedroom and bathroom in my home. I had a safety issue with guests on Saturday night. They came home drunk, fighting, cursing, yelling, slamming doors, crying. He left in their car with his bags saying she could get an Uber. She ended up leaving on foot with no bags and no phone. I was talking to Airbnb Support throughout this. I was given inaccurate information by Airbnb Support.

Not knowing what to do, and it being midnight and needing to be up at 5am for work, I went out looking for the female guest who was on foot without a phone in a neighborhood she didn't know. I found her a mile from my house in the MIDDLE of the street. As it turns out, she was intoxicated, emotional, irrational, etc. I tried to help but there was no rational thinking on her part so I had to ask her to leave because she was going to let him come back into my house if he wanted to come back. And I couldn't sleep with him in my house. The guest called him. He picked her up and neither returned. She did text and apology. But then Airbnb refunded them their money. When I tried to contact Airbnb Support about this whole situation once I had rested and it was daylight; I was told there is only 1 person, on 1 specialized team that can help me...and she's on vacation. I am set to host another guest tomorrow but feel totally unsupported by Airbnb. Is it reasonable that I have to wait for answers and assistance until 1 employee is back from vacation?

Hi @Shannon581, This pretty much seems like an upsetting situation!

As it has been a few days since you posted, have you managed to hear back from the Support team? Have you heard back from the guest after they texted you?
