Host Impact from Cancellations due to Corona Virus in US

Does AirBnb have any plan to help assist hosts who are being impacted by full refunds due to Corona Virus?

What do you mean by assist @Merideth3 ?

If you mean is Airbnb going to pay out millions and millions to the millions of hosts affected on an ongoing basis until the virus is contained. Then the answer would be no. This is covered under their EC policy which hosts sign up to when they join Airbnb. 

It is up to us as hosts to have contingency plans in place for our STR business in case there is an issue such as illness of the host, damage to the home, or something like this virus, which impacts on our bookings. 

You  can check your home insurance for STRs to see if you are covered through it for this sort of cancellation.

This exactly.  Why would it be up to AirBNB to cover these losses?  It's simply one of the risks of doing business in the hospitality industry.  A booking platform has no obligation to subsidize their clients' income.
