Host filed fraudulent damage claim and left retaliatory review, seeking advice

Looking for advice from the community. I stayed at a property in Atlanta, GA (Feb 13–15) and experienced the following:

  1. Property did not match listing, unclean bathrooms, dirty bathtubs, pre-existing dirty rag left in shower from prior guest
  2. TVs not connected to WiFi, remotes non-functional
  3. Host claimed WiFi outage during our stay, we called the provider directly and confirmed no outage existed
  4. An unauthorized occupant was using the master bedroom during our exclusive whole-home booking
  5. After checkout, host filed a $150 damage claim for the master bedroom, a room our party never occupied
  6. When we disputed it, host posted a false retaliatory review accusing us of threats, damage, and misconduct, all contradicted by the Airbnb message thread
  7. Airbnb disabled our messaging mid-dispute, preventing us from submitting photographic evidence while the host retained full platform access

Has anyone dealt with this? We have full documentation including screenshots. Already filed with Airbnb Trust & Safety, CFPB, FTC, and Georgia AG. Wanted to flag this for the community as well.

It sounds awful.

You should have contacted the host on check in when you found the person occupying the listing and it in a dirty state and asked to cancel the booking and if they refused contacted Airbnb to get them to cancel @Emanuel1411

It's harder to dispute when you stay for the duration and then raise issues.
