How many sheets and towels do you leave for 30 day renters?

We are now only renting for 30 days plus due to new local laws.  When we rented short term  we used to leave  a bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth per guest   The beds were made and no extra sheets were left. 

I am thinking of leaving more now, partially to encourage people to wash them in the laundry more.  I prefer reuse over recycling stained/dirty ones.  Bleach does not get everything and its not so practical to recycle these items yet.   

How many sheets and towels do you leave for 30 day renters?

I would supply 2 or 3X the number of bed and bath linens you supplied for under a week.  This allows the guest to wash as needed while having a clean one to replace while washing.

Hi, I am new to hosting and I have my first guest for seven days.  I placed two of each towels, etc in the beginning, I was thinking that, it’s time to give my guest new sheets and accessories for the bed, because I only gave one set to start.  My guest will be at my place for 28 days.  How often should I change the sheets and towels?  How many and should I change them every week?

@Peter10  If I were you, and it's physically possible for you (you live nearby)  I would leave enough towels and linen for a week, and arrange a pick-up of dirty stuff and delivery of clean, once a week.

If you let guests wash these things, you are likely to find things stained beyond redemption. Many stains need to be pretreated, soaked in cold water, etc, to come out. If guests just throw things in a hot wash, the stains will be cooked in, never to be usable again for future guests.

I don't do long term, but I give guests 2 bath towels, a hand towel, and a washcloth, for 5 days-week. So I would say 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths per week, would be sufficient, with a weekly exchange of dirty for clean.
