I was planning on working on a project for a month so I decided to rent a space in lovely Palm Springs. I moved in no problem and three days later found the source of an irregular beeping inside. Google search gave me the answer to what that was. I reported the safety issue, I was offered to be relocated that night due to the nature of the incident however I did not want to leave without knowing where I was gonna be relocated. It was December so only a few options were available. I finally decided to go for one of the options Airbnb gave me and they offered a 7 night emergency support coupon, this was not a refund, it was for me to wait patiently while the refund or relocation would come through. I moved advised by airbnb cause there could not be an investigation before I moved out. I didn't have any more money, I had already paid for a month thats why airbnb paid for those 7 nights. However on the sixth day I was informed my refund was not gonna be possible cause the booking had been canceled and good bye. I never canceled my reservation, I never did anything against the law, and i clearly would have never left the other place knowing that I would've lost all this time and money following advise from such a big well-known company. It's almost 4 weeks later and here I am with no refund paying extra extra nights. I did not get any money or at least the nights I paid somewhere else. I have opted to put this for everyone to read and suggest me what to do. I'm shocked but maybe I'm not seeing things clearly. Any advise ?
