Intrusion detection system that takes a photo inside the apartment

Hi, taking advantage of the cancellations during covid-19,

I have hired an alarm company to install an intrusion system to protect my apartment.

The installation includes:

1 alarm center,

1 keypad,

2 photo movement detectors,

2 opening detectors,

1 smoke detector,

1 connected socket,

5 badges and stickers.

If an unexpected intrusion occurs, I get notified on my smartphone, with a photo of the intruder.

The alarm blasts, and if it's someone I know, I can type the secret alarm code from my mobile to stop the alarm.

Is there a problem with having 2 devices that takes a photo inside the apartment if there is an intrusion ?

One guest I have went furious when he saw them, especially since the stickers show the logo of a camera.

Technically the photo movement detectors are recording devices.

Are they allowed in an Airbnb ?

Thank you for your input.

@Yves257  I would also be really upset to find their were cameras or other surveillance equipment inside if I were a guest. It's a disturbing invasion of privacy. It's one thing to have external cameras which record people entering the unit, quite another to have cameras on guests who are entitled to some privacy.

Any cameras you have, no matter where they are, must be disclosed in your listing information. Airbnb will delist you for not doing this if a guest files a complaint.

I don't think many guests would be okay with filmed when inside. It will be a serious deterrent to bookings.

I have removed the device that snaps a photo when there is an intruder. Even if it would only work when the apartment is NOT occupied. I have also disclosed the presence of an alarm system in the apartment in the listing information. Thank you for your answer @Sarah977
