Liar or victim?

I stayed in an Airbnb three weeks ago. I had dinner with two other couples, no children . And a total of 4 people stayed overnight.There were areas of the home that needed repair /cleaning or updated. I honestly forgot to leave a review, life’s been super busy. The host left a review . Said we left the place in “disarray ” and it took the cleaners “hours” to clean .. absolute LIE , I always take an exit video. So is the host a LIAR or is he being taking advantage of by the “cleaners” ? Also I don’t want a negative review on my spotless Airbnb record. Can the review be amended? Help !!

I’d suggest sending a friendly message to the host via Airbnb’s messaging system. Mention that you noticed their review and were surprised by their comments. Share your exit video to show that you left the place in good condition. Politely ask them for specifics on what they found in “disarray” and any cleaning concerns.

 

Also, you can express your desire to maintain your excellent Airbnb record and ask if they’d consider amending the review if things were not as they seemed.

 

If the host remains unresponsive or unwilling to amend the review, don’t hesitate to reach out to Airbnb’s support team. They’re there to help mediate situations like these.

Remember, keeping a positive and understanding tone in your communication can go a long way in resolving the issue amicably.

Airbnb removed the review after I submitted the video!!!!!!!

@Torey7  it's a shame you didn't raise the issues with the host you mention during your stay.
