My guest called me because they left the door open and a baby lizard 🦎 went in the room. Ofcourse I went with company to get rid of it but it went into the AC unit. Now I am wondering if I didn't have company, would be wrong to say I am scared because I am?
@Charmaine103 If you're scared, you're not wrong to say you're scared! Your feelings are valid, even when they're inconvenient.
I'm not clear on what your specific fear is here, unless that lizard was a T-Rex, but the best thing you can do when an issue throws you off is tap into whatever resources are appropriate to help you resolve it. It's ok to admit to the guest that something worries you - you're only human - but they won't accept that as an excuse not to deal with the thing they called you about.
You are not alone on the lizard front. @Emilia42, had emphatically told me that she's not coming to visit me at either of my places, because I have lizards.
Haha, it's true @Debra300 . Lizards give me the shivers! A few months ago when I was in Florida there was a small lizard in the bathroom of the Airbnb. I steered clear of that side of the house.
@Charmaine103 We once rented a place with a lizard that lived in the wall and came out regularly to eat insects etc. The children loved it.
How did you get on @Charmaine103?
I hope the situation managed to get resolved!
You have my utmost sympathy. My cat has a habit of bringing home presents, and while I'm used to mice, there's been a few times where he's brought home a wild newt. They're quite small and wriggly, and are not something I'm used to!
I found the best way to get them out is to get a small cardboard box, and a piece of card, pop the box over the newt and then slide the card underneath. You can then keep the little critter in the box until you find a safe place to let it run free.
@Jenny Newts sound quite manageable. We've had mice, ducks, a stoat and several rabbits brought in by our cat. Believe me a duck takes some catching when it stops playing dead.
I had a little chuckle at the thought of a duck running around,
@Mike-And-Jane0 - thankfully Walter has only brought in little critters - and on my birthday one year he brought two wild rabbits.
I don't think I'd know what to do if he turned up with a duck!
