Made 50% deposit on a reservation, but cc info changed before check-in

We made a reservation in Illinois and paid a 50% deposit and was told that the other 50% would be taken 3 days before check-in.

 

Meanwhile our cc information changed and we have changed it in our account.

 

My questions are:

  1.  Will the other 50% be charged on the new card, or will airbnb try to charge on the old one (which expired upon validating the new one)?
  2. What if it doesn't charge properly?  Will airbnb send us an email and give us an opportunity to change it?
  3. Should we contact the host or airbnb if it doesn't charge and let them know the situation?

Just trying to be proactive.  Thanks for any help.

The rest of the charges came through over the weekend, so all is well!  Apparently, Airbnb picked up the new cc when we changed it.
