Negative Guest Review

Hey everyone, I have seen some of the posts in the forum regarding this topic but want to get some feedback on this one.  I tend to be wordy yet I want to make sure I am being kind and constructive.  

This was a situation where they left some very soiled linens, muddy prints on the bath rug (which we don't have a back up for), and a sink full of dirty dishes.  Not horrible but not great.  I guess we are pretty spoiled since we have had some pretty awesome guests.  I would appreciate your feedback:

              "We were happy to host you for your New Year's celebration. It looks like you are new to AirBnB so we are pleased that you chose your first stay to be with us.
               "We'd like to encourage you to leave your vacation rentals a little tidier in the future. Hosts are looking for guests who leave the dishes cleaned and do not require a lot of extra clean up or laundry. Often times we have people checking out and in, back to back, and do not have a lot of time for the turn around."

@Paso-Vacation-Homes0 That's not really a review: that type of message would be better left in private feedback. Reviews are messages to the future hosts of these guests, not the guests themselves.

When you say "soiled linens", are we talking permanently wrecked or just needed a bit of extra attention?

Unless you specifically tell guests that they have to wash dishes, I wouldn't rate them down for that: you need to clearly set your expectations. I find that even when guests do wash dishes, they often do such a poor job that they have to be re-washed anyways.

I don't understand regarding the bath mat: don't you provide a clean mat for every guest?

I would likely let this one go, unless they really left your place a mess. This doesn't sound great, but neither does it sound too horrible.
