I am currently renting an Airbnb in Troy NY I just came back after dinner with my college student daughter to find there is only one exit I am on the second floor I had to go through two locked doors to get to my apartment and I started looking for the second exit there is none ..so if a fire broke out in the hall way how would I get out ???

In the UK to meet fire regulations for short term let's, we amongst other things, need to signpost fire exit routes and have easy turn locks on doors for all exit routes
i mention the fire exit route in my visitor guide .
was it not apparent when you checked in that you had to go through two locked doors to get into the apartment?
