Quiet on bookings

Hi community, is anyone else experiencing bookings being quieter than last year? I’ve noticed this despite a good profile I think and  being competitive on the pricing. Any thoughts on how to give things a nudge would be appreciated. Thanks

in fact, by frequenting the Community on a daily basis, I have noticed that many are complaining about a drop in bookings this year.

 

I for one have noticed a slight slowdown in Venice, but Venice is a world apart and does not average out!

I have noticed this as well …..despite being a Superhost and getting great reviews this year is off to a very slow start.  I hope it improves.

The slowdown may be because you recently stopped being classified as a "new" listing, which gave you a temporary boost in search results until now. You received great reviews while you were new - you will now have to build on that and make sure that you stay visible. One thing I can see is that you don't have free cancellation, which could help your rank (although some hosts don't like to use it). Here are some other factors to look into (unfortunately lowering the price is the best way to be seen!):

It is a beautiful property.  I think maybe you don't have your property calendar just generally available?  Your 3 reviews are May last year and it appears blocked from June on.  

Listings with limited availability can do well.  You do have to create traffic for available dates.  Like Airbnb Custom Discounts, you can discount a future date if you discount 20% then Airbnb will market your dates.
