Refund help please

Hi All,

My travel was cancelled by the host and the refund will be credited to the original credit card.

However this card is cancelled. As it was a work card and I no longer work there.

I accidentally used my work card at the time of booking and paid my employer back.

Does anyone know what will happen? assuming they have cancelled my card. will a cheque be posted to my old workplace?

they are going through a huge restructure and I havent had any replies from my old work since contacting them about it, and airbnb not helpful at all to even tell me if the payment bounced back.

Ouch, that's a painful one, @Stacey267.

Companies are obliged to send refunds back to the original method of payment, despite whether the account has been closed or not.

If the account has been closed,  the credit card company (or bank) will ultimately send the money on to your ex-employer in this case.  That said, they normally need a prompt to do so. 

You'll need to persevere with your ex-employer I'm afraid. Good luck.
