Refund request

Hi there - Would you give a full refund to 3 females who stayed one night because of “continuous” door knocking at around 10 pm? According to my new neighbor in the apartment next door he knocked 3 times only. According to him he was friendly but did ask them to turn down their music. The guests are claiming they weren’t able to enjoy their trip at all because of the incident. They did message me around 10:30 pm and we spoke on the phone and I offered to send my husband but they declined as knocking had stopped.

@Nancy1846 its a stretch but perhaps something is due. Why was the neighbour knocking and do you 'control' the neighbour being there? I am afraid a bad review is likely refund or not.

If the neighbour was knocking because their music was too loud then no they don't deserve any refund. @Nancy1846

obviously they must have spoken to the neighbour if he said he asked them to turn the music down.

do you have anything in your listing about quiet hours? It's a difficult one as it's a new neighbour so you don't know if he was being over sensitive or they were being unreasonable.

a neighbour asking them to turn down their music would not 'ruin their trip'

I wouldn't be looking to offer any type of refund in these circumstances.

@Nancy1846  It's their own fault isn't it?  For having music loud enough to disturb the neighbor?  I wouldn't give them a refund at all and I would apologize to the neighbor and put in quiet hours in the rules if not there already.
