Repeat Guests: How to identify
Hi...
I'm in my first year of hosting and am just now starting to get repeat guests. Right now it's easy as I don't have years and years of guests so recognizing a name is easy. However...
Is there a way to identify that a guest is a repeat customer without relying on your memory?

You could look at their reviews and see if one of them came from you.
Most people with communication skills will mention it, and if you think the name sounds familiar you could say, “Have we hosted you before?”

Good idea but @Mike-And-Jane0 nailed it with the observation that the messaging continues on from the last interaction...

@Clifford47 the message system just follows on from their previous stay so it is dead simple to find them

Not an idiot af all! The first year Is a huge learning curve. I learned everything from these discussion boards. I would hate to imagine how we would learn and grow without it.
