Hi All, after a 12 year break I got back into hosting this month. I just got a request for a booking that will include a wedding elopement for 25-30 people. The home can sleep 14 so some guests will just attend the "small, quiet, intimate dinner gathering on the property following our wedding ceremony". The person seems very polite and thoughtful.
I would love some advice.

Personally I wouldn't accept a wedding dinner taking place for 30 people . Your home won't be set up to accommodate 30 people for a sit down dinner and there's a risk it could turn into a noisy party @Antoinette224
it's also against Airbnbs T&C to host events/parties.
its hardly an elopement if 30 people know they're getting married .

I really enjoy hosting guests, but I wouldn't accept this request either. Even if the guest sounds and is genuinely polite, they unintentionally relinquish responsibility for every detail of the house, so it's very likely you'll end up with walls damaged by chair backs or something similar.
Thanks for the good advice! I’ve politely declined.
