Sending address directly to guest ahead of time

Hi all,

A guest needs my address ahead of time to order a pcr test. Any reason I shouldn't send it early? Things to consider? They have good reviews and are coming from abroad.

In the UK you can do the day 2 PCR as a home test, which is why the guest would need the address when booking one and they do have to book it before they fill in the passenger locator form and board their flight.

@Shala15 Guests should have the address on their itinerary once they book and any 48 hour grace period is over. I don't see any reason to give out the address to guests prior to booking, but don't see the harm after the booking is secure.

Probably legit. I don't know why you need it for a PCR test, but it's possible, I suppose. I know guests need the address of the accommodation to properly fill out covid entry paperwork for Spain, but many just write the name of the accommodation and that seems to work.

Otherwise, except in these rare cases, I only give them the exact location the day before their arrival. They can look it up anytime they want on Airbnb once they're booked, but most don't bother.

I send it the day before arrival not only because it's far less likely to get "lost in the noise of daily life", but a lot can happen between booking it and arrival.

@Shala15 looks fine to me except what happens when the PCR test arrives in the post - If it is a home share with you then fine but if it is rented out as a whole home what will the previous guests think when it comes through the door?
