Hi there, have a guest coming up who has a service dog. My place is no pets, but that's OK.
Can I charge an additional $30 cleaning fee?
Thanks,
Jo.

@Joanne801 In the USA, you cannot legally charge fees for service animals. You can charge for pets, but not service animals.
Communicate with your guest. Ask them nicely if they would consider an extra cleaning fee as they are bringing a service animal to a No Pets property. If your guest ignores your request, then you (in USA) would have to accept the rental with no additional fees. I have found that many good guests have no issues with a small fee to return your No Pets property to a clean, hygienic, non-allergenic state.
@Joanne801 No I don't believe you can. It would be illegal in the USA - Not sure about Australia but I do believe it is against Airbnb policies worldwide.
Also assuming it is a service dog it would be fundamentally unfair on the guest. Now if it is an emotional support animal then it is a whole different story....
