Suitable for infants (under 2 years)?

Hi

I am trying to figure out how to approach this question. We have a child under 2 so we have no problem renting out to people who have small children, however our basement suite is not "baby proofed".

We have a TV that is on an electric fireplace (ie not mounted on wall could be tipping hazard), we have blinds with long cords, no socket protectors and no locks on cabinets that could contain cleaning supplies.

We live upstairs and for instance our blinds are the exact same ones with long cords, we just of course supervise our kid.

I choose "no" to the suitable to children and you can put an explanation in, I basically outline what I said, but also say kids are welcome they just need to be supervised.

However, when I go to the preview listing, I just see it say "no suitable for children under 2" but I don't see what I wrote.

So how can I make it so I can convey that we welcome small children, but to let them know there are dangers in the unit and if they do decide to rent our unit, they must supervise their child.

This would be the same thing for children above 2.

@Michael7015

I think you can only either allow or not allow Im sure you can write in your house rules,

I only have one condo on airbnb at the moment and we dont think it is safe for any child as it has floor to ceiling glass windows, we dont allow any,

I would like to allow but I would also like to put up a warning so they know it is not like we went out of the way to "baby proof" it.

I am trying to think back to my hotel rooms I had and I not sure if those rooms where anymore "baby proofed" then what my suite would be.

I find it weird though there is an explanation box and it is not shown (at least in the preview output)

@Michael7015   Your average guest does not read beyond the first page and the pretty pictures, and the areas where we add information is only shown to a guest who delves into the pages well hidden beyond the first.

Put your explanation about the lack of baby proofing in your description.  A simple sentence stating that “the accommodation is not baby-proofed” is enough.  A statement such as “children must be supervised at all times” will come off as unfriendly unless you can add an amenity (hot tub, body of water, barbecue) that children should be careful around.
