Syncing calendar to Google off by a day

I set up ABnB calendar to sync with my Google calendar, however the dates placed on my Google calendar are one day off, consistently. So if a reservation is from the 15 to the 19th, it shows on my Google calendar as the 15th to the 18th. Is there a fix or workaround for this?

Known bug for quite awhile and Airbnb doesn't appear to be inclined to fix it. You can view other threads on the topic by typing Google Calendar in the search box.

I suspected there wasn't a fix. I'll keep my G calendar synced though as it at least puts something up there and I just need to remember that it's one day longer.

Hello @Kathleane0 👋

Sorry to read you're having issues with the Google Calendar sync. I wondered if you could share a screenshot of both a booking and the booking on Google Calendar please? I'd like to log this with the team just to make suer it's on record.

Many thanks!

This is a waste of time as I've done this in the past and your team refuses to fix it. But here goes again anyway. Notice your calendar shows the booking ending on May 5th. Google shows it ending on May 4th.AirBnB Calendar.jpgGoogle reservation details.jpg

Thank you @Terence55 for the recent screenshot. 😊

I understand your frustration and I'll pass it over to Airbnb.

Others have mentioned they believe it has to do with the way Airbnb codes the reservation when transmitting the calendar string. Airbnb uses "nights" and there is a possible an issue with how Google interprets that as in the case above. Although the guest only stays 4 nights, they are still on property until checkout on May 5th (but not staying overnight). Airbnb is probably transmitting 4 nights, but for Google,  they need to show checkout day as also occupied by the guest.

I'm told it could also be an issue with how Google interprets the coding from Airbnb. Calendar sync works perfectly fine for other booking platforms. That said, Hosts have reported the sync to Google used to work just fine until Airbnb changed the calendar format in one of the recent software releases.

It worked fine until the "Summer release" several years ago. Apparently iCal has the same issue, so it's definitely on Airbnb's side. I went through all of this, even opening the file that Airbnb sends to Google which shows the incorrect info.
The reality is, Airbnb broke it and refuses to fix it.
