Weekday Bookings

My name is Nathan * and my wife’s name is Abby * We live in Gulf Breeze Fl. Which is right next to Pensacola Beach. We have an Airbnb in Morganton GA which is 20 minutes from Blue Ridge GA.  We have been hosting since September last year.  It is tucked down in the mountains next to a babbling creek. Was just curious if anyone uses advertising?  I’m usually booked out 4-6 weekends out but don’t get any weekday bookings. Looking to try to increase my weekday bookings but unsure how to proceed.

Thank you so much for the help I started hosting this past September. I recently changed my length of stay for booking from 2 days to one day on week days. Someone also mentioned lowering my price on week days. I will try that as well to hopefully get more bookings.

@Nathan4164 . Have you looked at lower pricing? Here we are a holiday oriented town so like you weekends popular and weekdays less so. Since the cost of living crunch I have found the week day price reductions attracting some bargain hunters while the weather is still very warm. Its also travelling retirees not constrained by the working week and some white collar workers on long weekends as they can work from home. 

So hopefully thats two target markets for you to explore, especially if your wifi and workspace is up to it.

You can use Custom Promotions to lower your price and get up to 4 free benefits from Airbnb instead of manually lowering your price. Use caution though, the custom promotion will stack on top of other discounts like early bird, last minute, weekly if the reservation fits into those categories. We use Custom Promotions alot, so we don't offer early bird, or last minute discounts. We offer a weekly discount but keep it low in case someone books one of our custom promotions and stays for 1week.

Turn on Professional Tools & Use Rule Sets

Create a  Rule Set to offer a discount weekdays for those who book at least 2night stays during the week. Apply to only the weekdays on your calendar.

Offer to Extend Stays With a Discount

You can offer those guests that have already booked to stay an extra night before/after their reservation for a discount (25-35% usually works). You can use a special offer or modify the reservation for the addl night at the discount. Remember to let the guest know the discount is on the nightly rate and they will not be charged another cleaning fee; the Airbnb guest service fee will still apply as well as taxes.

"Hi [Guest Name]!

We wanted to let you know we currently have some open nights the day before and after your stay if you would like to extend your trip. We offer an additional XX% discount off the nightly rate if you would like to take advantage of that. There would be no additional cleaning fee. Airbnb does apply the standard taxes and booking platform fees to the addtional night(s). If you are interested in extending your trip, please let me us know as soon as possible so we can save the date(s) for you!"
