Hi hosts,
We are excited to share that we have updated the Community Center to enhance the site's navigation.
What’s changing?
We have introduced a new navigation bar on the left side of the Community Center – this new system makes it easier to navigate between topics.
What does the new navigation feature?
What sections are included in the navigation?
We have expanded the structure by adding new sections with their corresponding boards for seamless navigation. The new sections include the following:
Most Popular: displays top discussions across all community topics right on the homepage carousel.
Homes: discussion boards related to hosting accommodations.
Airbnb: updates and resources from Airbnb
A few extra features we added
When you’re on a specific topic or area, the relevant menu now gets highlighted as seen in the GIF below:
We’ve also added a breadcrumb trail, visible at the top of each page. Breadcrumbs help you trace your path across the site and easily keep track of where you are on the website.
We hope you enjoy these enhancements to the Community Center. Please feel free to share your feedback on the new navigation upgrade below.
Thank you everyone
Note: If the Community Center does not display correctly, you can clear your browser’s cache, and the issue will likely be resolved.
I needed to clear my cache so easy fix. I was trying to see the listing a host was talking about and I haven't figured that out? I don't want to send a private message but I do like to see something before I give an opinion.
Hi @Marie8425 , you can see the listing of a host by going to their profile and clicking on "View Airbnb Profile". Can you double check if you're able to view the listing by following these steps?
Keep me posted! 😀
Thank you that did work. If you move your mouse over the Hosts picture it has buttons for message or profile. i tried a few Hosts the Profile button didn't work correctly?
@Marie8425 , I was checking a few profiles and noted that it works mostly fine!
Just to double check, do you mean "View Airbnb Profile" or the options of "message button and view profile" while hovering?
If it's the second option , may be the hosts might have disabled their private messages and hence you can't find the message button despite hovering? It might also be that guest users, as they usually don't have the message function.
Let me know!
No I an pushing profile I don't want to send a message but that is where it was directing me.
Ah, okay! It doesn't look like a bug though as of now. I'll keep an eye out if we see more reports 👀
Thanks @Marie8425 !
Suggest you change "Community Guides" to Host Guides to avoid confusion. I always though Community Guides were how to use the CC and never clicked on it 🙂
Hi @Joan2709 , I am so excited to share that based on your thoughtful recommendation we've updated the label from "Community guides" to "Host guides". I am sure @Joelle43 will love this change too!
Thanks again for sharing your constructive feedback with us! Do let us know how you think of this change? 🌻
Kind regards,
Hello @Bhumika
Yes it was the first thing I said to Quincy (you have to picture me jumping for joy here) still no emoji's I'm afraid even after having cleared my caches. I hate to be a spoil sport Bhumika but when I went onto the Host Guide section, there seem to be far fewer than before. I tried looking into each different sub title for the one I did on the difference between an enquiry and a request to book and can't find it. I can see the one that Dave did though back in 2022. I see a full page of guides but don't see the possibility of looking further ie. no page 2 or 3 etc.
I may be missing the plot all together of course (LOL) and the selection by "recent" doesn't seem to help either.
Great that you changed the title too as I felt like @Joan2709 that it was confusing having the Host Guides being re-baptised to Community guide so thank you!
