Best Lock Management?

I have been looking into a few different softwares to handle lock management and code installation and was wondering what people tend to prefer? I know Guesty has a lock management software, and there are several other companies that have something similar. Any insight/direction is greatly appreciated! Thanks 🙂

Hi @Korin36 

If you are only listing on the Airbnb platform, they are offering a new smart lock integration within the Airbnb App. Hosts in the U.S. and Canada have access to this feature (looks like all your properties are in the U.S. If you opted in early, supposedly you should have access to it now. If not, the new release should go platform wide in a few days (Jan 26th, 2023). Right now it looks like Schlage locks are eligible now and Yale & August should be soon. I would just wait a few days and see if you like the Airbnb free smart lock integration.

If you plan on listing on other platforms, you can use the 3rd party software programs you referred to. I hear RemoteLock mentioned quite often by US Hosts (I have not used them). There are others out there, so maybe some Hosts who use those paid, 3rd party software vendors can comment here.  Below is the Airbnb Help Article about their new smart lock integration:

@Korin36 I love Eufy smart locks and door bell cameras, as well as several other of their security cameras. We use it on our 2 investment properties and even our own home. There is zero subscription fee, just need an SD card. Bought a $10 128GB sd card and I still have video from June last year.

When we do international trips, its very easy to setup codes for new bookings. We typically just use last four of phone number on file and on Airbnb use the scheduled message 2 hours before check-in "The smartlock keycode will be the last 4 of your phone number on file (short code start[guest phone number]short code end)"
