Hi @Sue2528,
It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with Airbnb’s messaging system indicating that you’re offline. Here are a few steps that may help troubleshoot this:
Update the Airbnb App: Ensure that you’re using the latest version of the app, as updates often contain bug fixes for connectivity and messaging.
Check Your Internet Connection: If your internet connection is unstable, it may cause the app to show you as offline. Switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data can sometimes resolve this.
Clear App Cache (For Android): Go to Settings > Apps > Airbnb > Storage > Clear Cache. Clearing cache can resolve temporary glitches.
Log Out and Back In: Logging out of your Airbnb account and logging back in can refresh your connection.
Airbnb Website Access: If the app continues to have issues, try accessing your messages through the Airbnb website on a computer or mobile browser.
Contact Airbnb Support: If none of the above works, reach out to Airbnb Support. Let them know that you're an experienced host and need reliable messaging to manage guest communications.
I hope this helps.
All the best,
Upfish Management
